FCSN Voices Potential Topics

Youth Reporters are encouraged to pitch their ideas to the team. Your ideas will be submitted for review and discussion. You may be invited to attend the FCSN Voices Sunday meeting to further discuss your idea, and develop an execution plan. 

Here are some topics that you may want to write about. 

1. SN Individual profiles (successful employment, special talent, etc.)
2. Disability Awareness (research on a specific disability, interview FCSN members with that disability, get first hand accounts on what are the challenges, what kind of help they wish to receive from the people they interact, from the community, etc., can be anonymous or use made up name)
• 10 Things I Wish People Knew about _________ 
3. FCSN Programs coverage: will request program coordinator to ask instructors first since they can write article even when the program is on a break, also they would have pictures on hand. YR is backup only if instructors don't want to write. There are some new summer programs that we can spotlight.
4. Your experience 
• volunteering at FCSN
• experience as a sibling of special need family member

• Spring & Fall: Family Gatherings (bi-weekly families get together from 5PM-8PM, seminar, dinner, social) East Bay & South Bay
• Quarterly Bus Trip Recreational Outing
• Seasonal holiday celebrations: New Years, Easter, Mother's Day, Graduation, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc)
